Project state options in Raken construction software.

Learn how to designate whether a project is active, inactive, or deleted in Raken’s web app.

Update a project’s status

Selecting the right status for each project helps you stay organized and allows you to focus on only the projects you need to see at any given time.

To change a project’s status, log into our web app and access the project you want to update. Just click Projects from the main menu options in the left-hand navigation, then select your project by name from your projects list.

Once you’ve accessed your project, scroll down and click Settings in the project menu on the left side of your screen. Then, select General from the drop down options that appear.

On this screen, scroll to find the Project state field and select the correct status for your project:

  • Active - For projects your teams are currently working on

  • Inactive - For projects that are paused or on hold

  • Deleted - For projects that were created in error, or that can be archived and no longer need to be accessed

Once you’ve updated the project’s status, click the Save button in the upper right corner to finalize your changes.

Filter projects by status

Projects that are marked as inactive or deleted are still saved in Raken—you won’t lose any of the data you’ve collected. You can access them by filtering your list of projects by status.

Use the filter options in both your main list of all projects and your activity dashboard to choose which projects to include in your views. Inactive and deleted projects are hidden by default to reduce unnecessary clutter.

If you want to reactivate an inactive or deleted project, use the corresponding filter and select the project you want to reactivate. When you click on that project, you’ll see a pop-up window that will allow you to activate the project and resume working on it as normal.

Why does Raken look different?

Raken web app navigation.

This month, we’ve updated our web app with a streamlined new navigation that saves screen space and helps you find the tools you need faster.

Improvements include:

  • A centralized left-hand menu, separated from your main work area

  • Optimized layout for large and small screens

  • Local navigation collapsed by default

  • Hover functionality
